Twenty – an open source CRM

Have you heard about Twenty?

The #1 Open-Source CRM

I’m not sure if there is a #2. That said, I’ve never really looked for opens source CRMs.

I looks promising. I played around the demo a bit and it’s nicely polished. The UI is Notion-like and while missing a ton of features, you can get a sense of the direction they’re taking with ‘objects’ and integrations.

So, how is this different from WordPress CRMs?

A couple of thoughts:

  1. Performance – it may be better if CRM isn’t part of WordPress
  2. A lot of WordPress CRMs are more like email marketing platforms, lacking opportunity / deal management and the company  > contact > object (eg. purchase history) taxonomy

If they develop a WordPress integration this could be a super interesting option.
